Funding for Lecturers and Adjunct Faculty

The Dresher Center for the Humanities is pleased to offer two new funding opportunities for lecturers and adjunct faculty in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS).

Research Support Fund

This fund is intended to provide research-related support to lecturers and adjunct faculty pursuing humanities research in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, whether employed full- or part-time. Adjunct faculty must be teaching at UMBC at the time of application with the expectation that they will also teach at UMBC sometime in the following academic semester or year following funding.

Summer Fellowships for Lecturers and Adjunct Faculty

One Dresher Center Summer Fellowships is awarded annually to all lecturers and adjunct faculty pursuing humanities research in the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, whether employed full or part-time. This funding is intended to support and promote significant humanities research at UMBC at any stage of a major project such as book manuscripts, major articles, or projects of a similar stature. Fellows also receive assistance from the Center in developing extramural funding applications and book proposals.
