New Kuali Requirement for Proposers: Credit Split (July 1)

Attend an Open Door Session to Learn More!

The Office of Sponsored Programs has announced that Kuali Credit Split will be “going live” in all proposals on July 1, 2021.

What does this mean?

This means beginning July 1, 2021, for every proposal submission, the Kuali Proposal Aggregator needs to assign credit to multiple persons and units for various categories including - intellectual credit intellectual credit (Academic), financial credit (DRIF), proposal creation and submission (Pre-Award) and award management (Post Award) support.

The PI, CoI(s) and Chair(s) will need to work with the Kuali proposal aggregator and each other to determine the split they feel is appropriate and reasonable for everyone in every category.

Where can you learn more about the credit split?

To introduce you to the Kuali credit split and help you with this transition, the Office of Sponsored Programs will be holding “Open Door Sessions” where you can drop in and meet with Rebecca O’Brien the Grants and Contracts Manager from OSP.  She will familiarize you with the credit split, answer questions and address any concerns you may have.
