Representatives from Northrop Grumman's Corporate, Technical Services (includes Health IT), and Mission Systems sectors will be on hand to speak with students.
Shortly after Noon, Amy Caro, Vice President, Health Solutions Business Unit, will be talking to the work Northrop Grumman does in the Health business unit – across all customers, not just those in the Baltimore area. The following blurb describes the operating unit:
The Health Systems Management team primarily supports two of the largest agencies in the federal government by using the latest in IT systems and solutions to lower risk and accelerate delivery. At the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), we have supported systems at the forefront legislative changes, such as the HITECH Act and the Affordable Care Act. Our solutions include both fraud identification and supporting the fundamental shift toward pay-for-performance healthcare. At the Social Security Administration (SSA), we are the top systems integrator modernizing systems to address the growing demand of retiring Baby Boomers. In our work for these agencies, Northrop Grumman uses a variety of technologies, including Agile methodology, Hadoop, data analysis and administration, software development with a focus on Java and Perl scripting languages, website support and development, network administration, project management, and Cloud and security technologies.
Come get to know Northrop Grumman employees and learn more about their internship and full-time opportunities. Be sure to view their positions in UMBCworks and, if interested, follow the application instructions.
This is your opportunity to speak directly to hiring managers and recruiters. Recruiters will be available at the event to TAKE RESUMES and discuss Northrop Grumman's opportunities with you.
The UMBC Connects series offers students and alumni the opportunity to meet with recruiters from companies and government agencies that are interested in recruiting UMBC talent. This is your opportunity to interact with individuals that may be able to land you that perfect internship or job.
Come when you are able, there is no need to stay for the entire event.
*Requests for special accommodations require prior notification of a minimum of two weeks.
