Paige Hathaway Guest Lecture

The Department of English's 416/616 course, "Shakespeare: Text and Performance," will host a series of guest lectures over the fall 2021 semester.

For this first lecture, Paige Hathaway, a set designer, will discuss her work on the Folger Theatre's A Midsummer Night's Dream production in winter 2016.

Paige Hathaway is a freelance scenic designer based in the Washington, DC area. In 2018, she received the Rising Star Award from the United States Institute for Theatre Technology, an award that honors young professionals in the beginning of their career. Regionally, Hathaway has recently designed at The Muny in St. Louis, the Arden in Philadelphia, Asolo Rep in Sarasota, the John W. Engeman Theatre in Long Island, and Bristol Riverside Theatre in Bristol, PA. In the DC area, she has recently designed at Arena Stage, Signature Theatre, Round House Theatre, Olney Theatre Center, Theater J, Woolly Mammoth, the Kennedy Center, Folger Theatre, Adventure Theatre, Imagination Stage, Everyman Theatre, and Studio Theatre. Hathaway received her MFA in Scenic Design from the University of Maryland and her BFA in Scenic Design from the University of Oklahoma.
