your calendars! Two documentary short screenings of the El Camino del
Pan y el Mole film series plus three drag performers and music. Each of
the films showcase the daily lives of two restauranteurs, Jose Vargas of
Highlandtown in Baltimore and Ivan Castillo of New Orleans. The films
are co-produced by Andy Dahl, Fernando Lopez, and Sarah Fouts. Editing by Nutria Productions. The films are part of the Library of Congress and American Folklife Center’s Homegrown Foodways series (2023).
Featured performances by Pretty Boi Drag (UMBC Alum!), Ervena Chloe, with special guest, Ivette Donnelly from New Orleans.
Music by Mariachi Garibaldi and Patternist.
