Humanities Teaching Lab with Sankofa Mobile Museum

Sankofa is an interactive mobile museum that uses virtual reality to bring local history to life for Prince George’s County students by connecting concepts and context to curriculum and critical thinking.

In this HTLab, participants will have the opportunity to take part in the Sankofa experience by visiting augmented and virtual reality stations. Afterwards, the museum team will discuss how they have conceptualized the use of these tools in curriculum and offer suggestions for faculty curious about using them in their own courses.
