Emily Drabinski, President, American Library Association
Join American Library Association President Emily Drabinski for
a conversation about the role libraries play in queer communities and
the importance of fighting to preserve and expand these crucial public
institutions.
Biography:
Emily Drabinski is Associate Professor at the Queens College Graduate
School of Library and Information Studies. She publishes and presents
widely on topics related to knowledge organization, information
literacy, and critical perspectives in librarianship. Drabinski edits
Gender and Sexuality in Information Studies, a book series from Library
Juice Press/Litwin Books. She is a contributing writer at Truthout.
She currently serves as president of the American Library Association.
The Korenman Lecture is organized by the Department of Gender, Women's, + Sexuality Studies
