let the dead in Poetry Reading with Saida Agostini
Saida Agostini, queer Afro-Guyanese poet
Saida Agostini, a queer Afro-Guyanese poet, trauma-informed social worker, cultural worker, and facilitator.
Agostini released her first collection of poems, let the dead in March 2022. These poems explore themes of Black queer liberation, pleasure, intimate partner violence, intergenerational trauma, Guyanese mythology, and fatness. During the event she will give a poetry reading followed by a Q&A with a moderator before opening the conversation to audience participation.
